UK Hip-Hop Artist Saint to Release New EP Introducing Self-Styled Revolutionary Rhythm

“Saint is the next to blow in the urban scene”Andrew Marston, BBC Introducing Hereford & Worcester

UK-based hip-hop artist and label CEO, Saint is to release his debut EP, Lucid on 30th January, an opportunity for audiences to experience what he has dubbed Revolutionary Rhythm. Combining the chill-step beats of his producer, PsyRo, and his own inspirational and motivational lyrics, Saint is looking to bring a fresh sound to UK hip-hop, focusing still on real issues but using his rhymes and beats to bring about positive change.

“Words are spells” - Saint

Based in Stourbridge, West Midlands, Saint (Matthew Derham) has already received the support of BBC Introducing and is looking to build on this in 2021 with the release of his first EP. Released on MusicalKillah Records, a label he is also CEO of, it features five tracks which show a hip-hop artist who is able to create radio-friendly tracks whilst retaining lyrics which have real depth reflecting his own interest in subjects such as law and philosophy.

Opener Adrenaline captures the energy Saint and PsyRo felt when first putting the track together and reflects any time in life when you feel literally anything is possible. Back Then perfectly captures the feeling of looking back on your younger days and taking positivity from those times; Changes’ lyrics are a reminder of the power of your own words to affect others, something Saint is incredibly conscious of – throughout the whole EP you will find that the messages put across are about positivity, reflection and moving forward. Distant Dream is another powerful track about self-belief whilst in Saint’s own mind, he saves the best until last with the track No More, a call to everyone to look around them and see the truth amongst the lies and to trust their own judgements.

Saint, PsyRo and their team are committed to growing their label honestly and fairly whilst helping other artists achieve their goals and upkeeping the ethos of their revolutionary Rhythm. Lucid is mastered by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis Studios.
