Music Week
As Heard on Radio X
2020 has been an extraordinary year for blues-rock goliaths Steady Rollin, seeing them remarkable make the leap from the tiny Central American republic of El Salvador to the music pages and radio waves of America, Europe and beyond. However, the band have now revealed the culmination of this epic journey – a stunning vinyl edition of their album, Love & Loss! Limited to just one hundred numbered copies and pressed on double vinyl, it is a fitting statement from the band and the perfect memento for their die-hard fans in the UK who amongst countless others around the world have been touched by their music. It reinforces Steady Rollin’s reputation as a rock band who ooze authenticity and class, rejecting studio trickery and playing their tracks in the live tradition of bands like Cream and The Who. The album is being released in tandem with a brand-new video for the album track, Call Me By 2 which features some brilliant footage of the band playing live.
Comprising Benjamin Andrade on drums and backing vocals, Gerardo Pardo on bass and Fernando Poma on guitar and lead vocals, they have already captured the hearts of minds of audiences across their native El Salvador and South America and now look to spread their message to the rest of the world.
Love & Loss is the first full release from Steady Rollin’, 10 tracks which tell love-related stories from Fernando’s real-life experiences to a musical backing which twists between emotional blues, agile, sinuous rock and a squall of alternative power. Fernando Poma has played music for as long as he can remember, moving on from the drums as a young child through to an obsessive fascination for guitars which still exists today. He feels music has always been his calling, a passion which is tangible in every song he performs.
Benjamin Andrade’s interest in music started back in 1994 when he started listening to Led Zeppelin, Rush, Metallica and other rock bands. His talent has driven him to establish several successful music bands, such as Kroma, Ultraviolet and Alter Ego. Nowadays, he is committed to Steady Rollin’ and to his role as Yamaha Music’s official drumming representative for El Salvador. Gerardo Pardo is a professional bass and guitar player, adding expertise and a melancholic note to Steady Rollin’s compositions. Fernando is regarded as a champion of El Salvadorian music scene, helping to give local bands the opportunity to play live around the capital, San Salvador. Order Love & Loss now, before it’s too late!
