New release: Jungle Boy - Bond (single)
New talent from the UK
Emerging from the hip south west London scene, Jungle Boy (Jake) brings influences from classical piano, electronica and contemporary R&B together to create a truly distinctive alternative sound.
New single Bond is perhaps the best listening to describe its uniqueness.
The song is about two people who ran away from their love to avoid heartbreak. It explores the feeling of losing some of your identity when a long-term partner leaves and the regret of leaving something you thought was special and even fate.
This song tries to capture when a bond between two people was destructive and wrong but felt so right.
Taking influence from some of London’s freshest sounds (Cosmo Pyke, King Krule and Jorja Smith to name a few) as well as contemporary and classical piano composers including Debussy, Satie and Joep Beving; Jake brings a new perspective, hoping that this will inspire others to do likewise.
A beautiful deeply immersive interplay of these styles and artists. Jungle Boy not only takes you on his musical journey, but also takes you deeply into his emotions.
His debut EP will be released on November 29th this year.
